This past year Verena experienced a range of emotions and intensity. She faced the COVID crisis head-on as a clinician, got married, and was deeply engaged as the Black Lives Matter movement exploded.
This week we explore how she took care of herself this past year, the importance of setting boundaries, and what it was like for Verena as a Sudanese Egyptian woman in 2020. She shares her most recent poem, a part of her self-care and healing: Rain.
